“Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him.”
John 9:31

Have you ever spoken to someone and feel they’re just not listening? Did you know God regards the prayers of an unbeliever in the same manner? How many times do we see the world-at-large cry out to God in prayer during times of tragedy or peril, yet hold Him with no regard in their hearts? Proverbs 15:29 tells us, “The Lord is far from the wicked, but He hears the prayer of the righteous.”

How many more signs and wonders does He have to perform to demonstrate how powerful and mighty He is? The scriptures make it clear that unless you know God and He knows you, He does not hear your prayer. Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:21, “Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.” He only hears the prayer of the unbeliever who comes to Him with a repentant heart.

God longs for a relationship with those whom He sent His son to die for.  As believers, we know it is the will of the Father that none should perish, but all should come to repentance. It is my prayer that we would share the Good News of Jesus Christ, the One who came to seek and to save that which was lost, and let the whole world know that salvation is free to those who call on the name of the Lord.

Praying for the lost,
