We are in the process of updating our website on a more frequent basis, so be sure to check back often for updates and RUTS news. We are expanding our photo gallery and would love to include some pictures you have taken from any of the club rides or races. We are categorizing the photos by year and event (will load faster that way). If you have some favorite photos you would like to share, you may email them to rutsweb@gmail.com. We will try to use as many as we can that capture the spirit of the event.

With Meltdown 25 just around the corner, be sure to have those cameras ready. This will surely be a memorable event. Be blessed!

Meltdown is only 3 weeks away! We could really use some “merchandise” for the Saturday night raffle. Please ask your local bike shop for donations or as the Lord leads, consider purchasing something that we can give away!! All new riding gear and accessories are welcome! We will certainly mention the name of the bike shop at our raffle (FREE advertising). We will also allow coupons and flyers for their shop at our SIGN up area. Anything they would like to donate we will get into the hands of racers (up to 400 of them!) All you have to do is ASK!  ”If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” John 15:7.

Above all, be sure to keep RUTS, Meltdown in particular, in your prayers; that we would receive the Lord’s guidance and direction in every decision that is made. Pray that souls would be won for Christ as we share the love of Jesus with our desert community. Meltdown may be the only opportunity for someone there to hear about Jesus. May He shine in and through you as you seek to do His will.  Be Blessed!

It was a dark and stormy night. In January. I turned on my computer and deleted
all the messages about low cost air fares, low interest credit cards.
Then I started in on the good stuff. First was one from Dave Beaumont. He wanted
my help for the Lost Mine Poker Run in March. The original plan was for about a
60 mile first loop. He asked if I could run a hot dog emporium and gas pit at
the check. I said “Sure, no problem as long as I know how to get
there”. Maps will be provided he assured me.

I didn’t have a bar-b-que so I went to Costco and bought one. Costco also sells
propane cylinders and since I didn’t have one, I bought one. All cylinders are
sold empty, so I went to a propane dealer and bought some.
I know what you’re thinking, “Big deal. Couldn’t have cost more than a
hundred and a half. ($138 plus tax and propane). Plus he will have that
stuff forever. Should have already had it”.

But wait, there’s more. I stole that line from an info-mercial on late night TV.
On Friday afternoon Johnny Severin rode over to a group of us who were just
standing around talking. He has a Husky 310TE, a four stroke machine with
electric start. “Here, take it for a ride” he said to me. I protested
I had no riding gear but he coerced me by forcing his helmet on me. After
showing me how to start it, I rode  it around and part way up a hill,
didn’t drop it and came back down. When I returned it I told him I thought it
rode smoothly and had good power. I didn’t have one, so I bought one.

Join trailboss extraordinaire, Dave Beaumont, for one of the best weekends of the year. Same location as last year, Gohler Gultch off of Garlock Road near Randsburg. The riding is awesome and the gold mining history of the area is fabulous. Help us in raising money for the RUTS missionaries serving in the Nation of Georgia.
